To top it all Alice was even busier than usual. She had extra basketball training because her team, Athleta, had an important match today with Luxol team. She also has a patrol camp next week with scouts, and she is organising it with her friend, while the leaders simply oversee the process. I must say I am impressed with how seriously she is taking all the preparations. She is growing. Two days ago, before going to school, I was on the roof with my dog, having a cup of coffee. I heard Gabriel’s transport arrive. I didn’t have enough time to go downstairs and say goodbye, so I walked to the edge of the roof and wished and I wised him a good day from above. Chase stood beside me with his huge plastic toy in his mouth, peering over the edge as well wagging his tail. As Gabriel was about to get into the car, from the corner of my eye I noticed something red falling. My heart sank. I immediately realised that it was Chase’s toy which slipped from his mouth. It fell as if in slow motion. I prayed it would not land on top of the car. It missed the bonnet of the car by a few centimetres bouncing on the floor and hit underneath Gabriel’s transport. There was a just A dull sound. The driver did not notice anything, and drove away.
I sighed with relief. I glared at my dog, he simply wagged his tail excitedly and shifted his weight impatiently on his paws, as if saying, fetch my toy—I want to do that again.
Today I’m sharing a few photos of Ritalin and her beautiful family. We captured her son’s Holy Communion at the Valletta Waterfront, a lovely setting that added so much warmth to their images. If your child is celebrating their Holy Communion next year, I recommend booking your photographer early, as dates are already filling up fast.
